Use Templates
If you set similar goals for multiple staff, templates save time. Save a plan’s goals as a template, then load it into other staff members’ plans.
Saving a Template
Open a staff member’s PD plan that has the goals you want to reuse
Select the menu (three dots) and choose Save as Template
Enter a name for the template and select Save as New Template
You can also overwrite an existing template if you’ve updated the goals.
Loading a Template
Open the staff member’s PD plan
Select the menu (three dots) and choose Load from Template
Select a template from the list
Review the goals — if any specific activities have outdated due dates, you’ll need to update them
Select Import Template
Loading a template removes all existing goals from the plan. The staff member’s logged activities are kept, but they’ll no longer be linked to goals.
What Gets Copied
Templates copy the goal structure:
- Goal titles and descriptions
- Competency areas
- Targets (hours or activity counts)
- Due dates (for specific activities)
- Rationale and instructions
Templates don’t copy progress — each staff member tracks their own completion.
Managing Templates
To rename or delete templates, select Manage Templates from the template menu. Templates are shared across your organisation — anyone with access to PD plans can use them.
