Set Up Stakeholders
Stakeholders are the people and organisations you consult with — industry representatives, employers, students, and others who provide feedback on your training and assessment.
When to Use This
Add stakeholders to RTOSafe when you:
- Start working with a new industry contact
- Want to track who you’ve consulted with over time
- Need to record industry advisory committee members
- Want to link feedback to specific individuals or organisations
Creating a Stakeholder
Go to Stakeholders in the main navigation
Select Create
Choose the Record Type:
- Individual — a person (requires first and last name)
- Organisation — a company or body (requires organisation name)
Select a Category that describes their relationship to your RTO:
- Student
- Industry Representative
- Employer
- Community Representative
- Industry Association/Peak Body
- Government Body
- Consultant
- Other
Add contact details and select Create
Linking Stakeholders to Industries
If you deliver training across multiple industries, you can link stakeholders to specific industries. This helps you track which industries you’ve consulted.
Open a stakeholder and use the Industries section to add industry links.
Industries are managed in RTO Settings → Industries. Add your relevant industries there first.
What Happens Next
Once you’ve added stakeholders, you can:
- Link them to engagement records when you consult with them
- Track their engagement history over time
- Filter by category or industry when planning consultations
