Track Renewals
Use renewals to keep track of anything with an expiry date — your RTO registration, public liability insurance, contracts, licences, or certifications. RTOSafe will alert you when items are due for renewal and show upcoming expiries on your calendar.
Adding a Renewal
Go to Renewals and click Add Renewal.
Enter:
- Renewal Name — what you’re tracking (e.g., “Public Liability Insurance”)
- Renewal Date — when you last renewed it
- Expiry Date — when it expires
- Reminder Period — how many days before expiry you want to be alerted (default is 30 days)
- Evidence File — upload proof of the renewal (PDF, DOC, or image)
Click Save Renewal.
How Alerts Work
RTOSafe checks your renewals daily. Alerts only start appearing once you’re within your Reminder Period — so if you set 30 days, you won’t see any alerts until 30 days before expiry.
Once inside the reminder period, the urgency level depends on how much time is left:
| Status | When it appears |
|---|---|
| Notice | 15+ days remaining |
| Warning | 3–14 days remaining |
| Urgent | 2 days or less, or already expired |
For renewals that need lots of lead time (like RTO registration), increase the reminder period so you’re alerted earlier.
Alerts appear on your dashboard and resolve automatically when you renew the item to a future date.
Calendar Integration
Renewal expiry dates appear on your dashboard calendar in red. Click any renewal event to go straight to its details page.
Renewing an Item
When it’s time to renew, open the renewal from Renewals and click Upload New / Renew. Enter the new renewal and expiry dates, upload the updated evidence, and save.
Your renewal history is kept — you can see all past renewals on the details page.
