Create a Validation Strategy
Each qualification, skill set, or accredited course on your scope needs a validation strategy. This defines which units you’ll sample when validating.
Before You Start
- Sync your scope from Training.Gov so units are available to select
- Set risk levels for your units first — this helps you build an effective, risk-based strategy
Adding Units
Go to Scope and open the qualification, skill set, or accredited course you want to set up.
Click Validation Strategy, then Modify Units.
Select the units you want to include in your validation sampling. Use Select All or click individual rows.
Enter your Selection Rationale — explain why you chose these specific units (e.g., high-risk areas, core competencies, delivery volume, recent changes). This field is required.
Click Save Changes.
What Happens Next
- Selected units appear on the Validation Strategy page
- You can now schedule validations for these units
- Units marked as Core are flagged automatically based on Training.Gov data
